BWPro Tips and Tricks

Post by CaptainXavious » Thu 24 Sep , 2015 6:33 pm

Alright, I wrote up a bunch of hints for bwpro with the hopes that it may help explain some of the lesser known aspects of BWPro, ideally with the goal of having this hints show up in game. Anyways, here we go.

==================

Longhorn, grenades and other explosions rattling your nerves? Try the special fire on the E58 Raygun or the E90-N Particle Accelerator to be completely immune to explosions (and fire)!

Tired of getting duped by smoke bombs and invisible enemies? Some weapons like the M75, FSSG-50 and the X-83 feature an advanced scope that allow you to see right through their trickery!'

Invisibility getting past your defences? Try marking them with weapons like the Bloodhound, Coachgun, or almost any incendiary weapon to give you something to follow them by.

Deployed weapons really digging at you? Try sneaking behind them with the BX85 Crossbow, smoke cover, or the Tech Grenade and finish them off before they can react.

Machine gun nests keeping you at an impasse? Try attacking them with weapons that don't need line of sight like the Longhorn, grenades, or the Akeron to keep out of their firing arc.

Need to take the bite out of melee? Try a high knock back weapon like the SKAS Super Shotgun or the A49 Skrith Blaster to keep them at range, or try slowing them down with a taser from the Bloodhound or MRS-138.

Many energy beam weapons like the Viper alternate fire, E90-N primary, and the LS-14 Carbine deal bonus damage when you land consecutive hits.

Several energy weapons' projectiles like the Viper and A73 deal bonus damage the further they travel. Keep your enemies at mid range to maximize the damage.

Getting hit from a sniper rifle or melee will cause your weapons to be temporarily knocked aside, unable to fire. Pistols and melee weapons are immune to this, however.

Longhorn grenades can be manually detonated by keeping the trigger held in after firing and releasing after the charge bar is full. Also, the clusters will explode on impact and deal bonus damage if they fall far enough.

Launched grenades and rockets have an arming delay that must pass before they will explode on contact. Additionally, explosive projectiles deal bonus damage in a larger radius when they directly hit enemies.

Hit enemies with the E90-N primary fire to charge it up so you can help team mates with alternate fire or activate the hazard shield, making you immune to explosions and some ground hazards.

If you are having a hard time hitting enemies with the E90-N to build energy, try switching to Neutrino Amp. Primary fire auto-targets enemies (invisible ones too!) and massively reduces their damage while locked on.

Akeron's missiles explode in a conical shape rather than a sphere. The explosion also cuts through cover like it was nothing, perfect against a sand bag bunker!
