UT 2004 on Linux
Hello. My name is Oska and I am a UT2004 player.
I do have a problem. I bought a legal version of UT2004 providing me 3 files:
- UT2004_Setup-1.bin
- UT2004_Setup-2.bin
- UT2004_Setup.exe
Which allows me to install UT2004 on Windows. But what if I want to install it on Linux? I've read that some .sh files can be included when buying the DVD while what I legally downloaded only provides a Windows installation.
The point would be to find a .iso of the DVD and to insert my legal key during the installation.

Install it on Windows, copy it to Linux, fix permissions, put your cd-key to ".cd-key" file (or whatever it's called, google that). Then download "ucc-bin" somewhere from web and remove all .exe and all .dll from system directory.

Could you be a bit more specific about the "fix permissions" part?

Re: UT 2004 on Linux
Oska, just install any version of UT for linux, and then replace the license number in the system with the one you get from the original CD. You get the License number in the windows registry if you install your original UT2004 in another windows machine. Else you may run a virtual machine in your linux if you have enough resources....

The problem is that I don't have the installer for Linux. If you have it feel free to upload the isoButcher wrote:just install any version of UT for linux
