Re: Please inspect the racing / assault server
Joined ut2004://46.105.62.70:7777 a few minutes ago and the server seems online, but having the "Donkey problem" again. You can join, but the server only has donkey player names and you can't start playing.

Yes Nardaq, yesterday a map was loading I think the map was called Osaka(?), then it just hung for a min at the black f10 loading screen then walking dead's xmas map started up. It's funny because when I mentioned it (in the game server) to other players they said walking's dead's map was voted in, so where the hell Osaka came from I've no idea?
Also on two or three occasions the loading screen just hung and I needed to f10 and try again, then it would work np.

Re: Please inspect the racing / assault server
Could be manual scheduled restarts which cause map switches to be 2-4x longer. Can’t confirm that’s the case but would be my first guess as we have been working on getting servers running back to the way they where.

Re: Please inspect the racing / assault server
I usual notice a manual restart when it takes more as usual to load the map.
U might wanna look in to the map loading cycles on the server.
We used to have less than 5sec on the F10 screen, now its about 20-25sec on every map change.
This is very close to time out at 30sec when the "can't connect" popup shows up.

Bump.
It's been a while and most issue's are resolved (firewall stuff), but can some admins look into this map loading time? It's getting real annoying.
It takes around 30sec (timeout limit) to load the map/server and able to connect to the server. Joining mid-game is no issue and is done in 1 like seconds.
