Re: UnWheel
Sorry to cross your chat about unWheel, but I cannot join the Assault/Racing server when a unWheel map is played :
[/URL]
I have emptied my cache folder, but still the same problem. No download error whatsoever, just this error when connecting.

Re: UnWheel
Look for this file in your System folder (UT2004/System and delete it), UnWheel.u. You have this error because you extracted this file or it comes from a previous install of a different version.
Its all about the game, and how you play it
All about control, and if you can take it
All about your debt, and if you can payit
Its all about pain and whos gonna make it...

Re: UnWheel
And for the game not starting because some guys don't click, can't we allow the game to start when like 75-80% of the players are ready? Most of the time it's only one or two guys... Or maybe add a warm up round as on the Race/AS server?

Re: UnWheel
I have found and deleted the file and will let you know the results when a unwheel map has made it through the vote round.

Re: UnWheel
I don't have the source atm so I can't upload it, but I've added a max wait time for readying up.

Re: UnWheel
Whoops, sorry about that (forgot on the latter changes). It looks like we perhaps still will have to rename the pakage and fix map dependencies. Oh boy
Could be relatively easily done by hex editing the map (switch UnWheel to smth like UWREV (fill the rest characters with 00), opening it with editor and just saving it; and into that package all map dependencies.

Re: UnWheel
Implemented automatic clutch (I kept it automated for manual transmission too) - the difference is clutch will be much faster for manual transmission. Source up'd.

Re: UnWheel
Got an error message yesterday evening, but when I deleted all unwheel files with the same datestamp as UnWheel.u (somewhere late 2010) the problem was solved.

Re: UnWheel
How much difference are we talking side by side auto vs manual?

Re: UnWheel
Having just spent the evening on manual, I can tell you that it's slightly faster once you get the hang of it, but it takes practice. The only issue I have is the reversing compared to automatically: one mistake on manual takes 10 seconds or more to correct, reversing.
“We humans do not understand compassion. In each moment of our lives, we betray it. Aye, we know of its worth, yet in knowing we then attach to it a value, we guard the giving of it, believing it must be earned. Compassion is priceless in the truest sense of the word. It must be given freely. In abundance.”
