izumo: Would it be SO hard for you to talk through any game changes you wish to make BEFORE implementing them, you are not omnipotent, there ARE other members of the team here (who are active) and would really APPRECIATE not walking into changed scenarios without prior notice.
Way to go genius, you delelted the mc server (especially when you're expecting to be able to play mc).
Honestly, I wonder why I bother sometimes...
There seriously needs to be another Admin added, this just sucks hugely.

I want to tell, that i have downloaded some parts of the world with World Downloader. Of course it doesnt include contents of chests.
For example, spawn town is downloaded in entirety. As well as most old world constructions. I dont remember, if i've downloaded your mountains, Pinky.
Also, if we had known the seed of the world...
Also, if we lost server not because of the third person actions, but admin's unresponsible actions, I cannot trust this server to hold my work anymore.
Because players put tons of effort into creating MC worlds over months and years. Its not like UT, where you could redownload everything (maps, player skins, mods) from internet.

Let me get this straight. The minecraft server is deleted because backups weren't made?
You see a mouse trap, I see free cheese and a fucking challenge.
They will try to kill you. Kill them back.

When a work that was done over _years_ by several people is accidentally deleted, its certainly not fun. One who never played minecraft and doesnt know what it takes to build things there, have have no clue how heavy this hit is.
And as i understand, when Izumo was wiping off data on the server, he had no thought to save minecraft data and didn't warn MC admins. And there were no offline backups to restore MC from.

Looks like a double fail. First, server became hacked. Second, MC is wiped off.

Hey, the blame either goes to DeathBlade or Coi, they were the ones chatting regarding the server reinstall. This time I was taking solely care of this website and ut2004 and didn't touch anything else.

This reminds me of the time I build a giant Lego castle with all the pieces I had, then after my parents put me to sleep they disassembled the castle as it was too big to pick it up from the floor.
Or when I didnt back-up my UT99 maps in 2005 and lost around 90% of them in a HDD failure. They also were almost a year of work, including 3 custom singleplayer campaign maps and a DM map of my neighbourhood that we played a lot with my friends during LAN parties... memories...
So Minecrafters...

Since when is important stuff like that done via PM between people who visit this forum maybe twice per month?? I wonder what the purpose of all those admin forums in bottom is supposed to be. One single bloody posting in the Site Administration Forum about an upcoming server reinstall would have been enough. Just one.Izumo wrote:Hey, the blame either goes to DeathBlade or Coi, they were the ones chatting regarding the server reinstall.
