Apples and oranges. You hide in freon because of the 100 second auto-thaw on people. TAM offers no such advantage.
Try it and see.

So you wouldn't play stealthly if you were last man standing of your team?

There's a difference in 'camping' and 'playing stealthily'
You're arguing people will extend the rounds for no reason other than to grief.

Re: [Split] TAM/AM discussion
It's quite clear that some people have never played TAM.
Also, quite annoying that those who no longer or infrequently play BW, and/or have probably never played TAM are voting.

Besides, there won't be as much people spectating as you may think, as 'modern' TAM servers all use the necro combo. It'd be nice to have an alternative than boosting!

Re: [Split] TAM/AM discussion
None of the TAM servers have 22 slots, they have half (10 or 12 slots) and of course their maplist reflects that, so you don't play hide & seek in the maps. You can't really hide in Rankin, Deck17 and maps like that even in Freon, because while there is a time limit, the entire enemy team will be against you. It's just not that straightforward as you say.
Example:
TAM in Goatswood: teams get reduced to 1on1 => both start sniping and play hide and seek, the rest just watches while being extremely bored!

Theorycraft will never replace practical experience of having TAM added.

Re: [Split] TAM/AM discussion
The same 1vs1 situations happen in Freon, except instead of sniping you just have people standing next to frozen people thawing them at an agonizingly boring 4/sec, in overtime.

Re: [Split] TAM/AM discussion
Surely theorycraft doesn't replace practical experience, still gives some insight on the thing. Different slots (22 vs 12), different maps (big-mid-small vs mid-small), different play style (BW vs stock), different playerbase (mostly low and semi skill vs pro scene).
Well, there can be a test run from the 3SPN game class (coz all LDGGameBW stuff is made for Freon directly, i.e no UTComp addon, no ladder etc.), assuming giZmo approves that (he rather expressed being totally against that, due to waiting times for players with lower skill getting killed in the initial mashup).

Re: [Split] TAM/AM discussion
Sure, but we're not pushing for a Freon replacement, TAM probably wont even get voted much if people are as against it as you seem to believe.
