So when I want to play a my own built level (first small room:p) in ed, as soon as ut starts and I view my level my screen kinda freezes. It's prob cause of my sucky comp or maybe something else?

Are you using "Play map!" from UnrealEd? Try launching the main game.

If you launch the game can you find your map from the menu there?
and is there a way to grow the symbols in UeD. It's kinda annoying with the lightbulbs if you want to move them cause in a big room they're really small and in the mstring unreal tech they seem big (the light bulb symbol.

If your map has a proper extension, such as AS-, and all the packages for it exist (which they will if you have created the map), the map will show in ingame maplists.
To increase the size of important objects, go to their Properties and set the DrawScale up. I find the default size is acceptable, though.

And dont forget to set the DefaultGameType to UT2k4Assault.ASGameInfo if you want an AS-map runs correctly !

btw if I move my cubes after i substracted them, my textures seem to stay at the original place. Is that normal?
